Snorri H. Gudmundsson

Snorri is a business and marketing strategist concentrating on disruptive technologies. He uses a vast network to pull together the resources and expertise necessary to service clients as efficiently as possible and to minimize risk factors related to investments in business expansion. A former CFO and banking consultant, he has an acute understanding of financial performance indicators and capacity constraints which he uses to accelerate ROI and shareholder returns. Snorri is an Independent Expert/Evaluator for the European Commission’s Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7) and serves on the IIeX Global Advisory Board for the sole purpose of solidifying business relationships between the EU and the US in order to increase economic growth on both sides of the Atlantic.
Ex-Vice President, Global Consumer Insights
As Vice President, Consumer Insights, P. Gayle Fuguitt, oversaw all of the global marketing research and data analyses to generate insights about consumers and translate them into business opportunities. In 2000, Fuguitt led General Mills to a strategic alliance with MarketTools, Inc., a privately held Internet research firm in Mill Valley, California. Through this relationship, more than 80 percent of the company’s research on consumers has been moved to the Internet with dramatic savings in cost and time. Fuguitt serves on the board of directors of MarketTools, Inc. In 2002, she formed a similar alliance with Iconoculture for on-line trends. Fuguitt holds a Master of Business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and two bachelor’s degrees – in economics and industrial relations – from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Diane Hessan is the CEO of Communispace, a leading next-generation market research company “with a Blue Chip client list that would make a Madison Avenue giant jealous,” according to Advertising Age. A pioneer in creating online communities to help marketers generate consumer insights, Diane helped found Communispace in 1999 – when no one knew what social media was — and hasn’t looked back. Diane has spent her career helping companies become customer-focused—as a business executive, and as co-author of the book Customer-Centered Growth: Five Strategies for Building Competitive Advantage. The book, a Business Week best seller, was published in 11 languages. She has received many honors, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year (National Finalist), the Great Boston Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year, a Mass High-Tech All-Star, and a range of Best Boss citations. She is a graduate of Tufts University and Harvard Business School, and is the mother of two grown daughters. Diane is an avid Red Sox fan and is co-founder of The Sound Bytes, an a cappella group that sings about business.
Bernie is President of element54, a Toronto & Montreal based strategic full-service market research firm, which specializes in Concept & Product Innovation Optimization, Brand Strategy & Positioning, Creative Development Testing, and Brand/Advertising Tracking, leveraging the use of innovative technology, with purpose. element54 initiated groundbreaking research into Online survey design – “Sexy Questions, Dangerous Results?” and “Eyes Don’t Lie” (2009/2010), and “How Far is Too Far?” (2011), which have shaped industry dialogue and consciousness around the complex issues of emerging technologies in survey research. In 2010, Bernie was nominated for the Next Generation Marketing Research (NGMR) “Disruptive Innovation” Award. He is a Past-President of the MRIA Québec Chapter, and sessional lecturer at McGill University on Marketing and Research issues.
Mr. Lonnie is the CEO and Founder of KL Communications, Inc. In 1996, Mr. Lonnie began KL Communications with the specific purpose of establishing a firm that would elevate the voice of the customer via superior insights and the latest technology. Consistent with that vision, the company specializes in proprietary online communities for a wide array of Fortune 1000 clients, including TIME Inc., Delta, Avery Dennison, HBO and Sony Electronics. Mr. Lonnie is a self-proclaimed research/tech geek who currently serves on the MRA Executive Board, and is a past President of the Interactive Marketing Research Organization (IMRO).
Insights and Innovation Consultant (Chile). Bachelor in Psychology, with 20 years of experience in the industry. Chairman of the Board of the Chilean Marketing Research Association (AIM) 2011-2012. His international marketing research experience started at Cimagroup as an associate director (Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Costa Rica). In 2008, Synovate acquired Cimagroup and as Deputy Managing Director (Andean and Caribbean Region), Rafael provided support to Cimagroup and Synovate by managing their regional business and building regional teams. During his career he was appointed Managing Director for Chile, Ecuador and Peru. In 2012, Rafael joined the Ipsos team, following Synovate’s acquisition to august. Since September 2012 Rafael is supporting project as independent consultant to Chile Image foundation and IPSOS CHILE.
With over 15 years of experience in marketing, technology and market research, Adriana is co-founder of eCGlobal Solutions, a leading provider of technology and social media research solutions for the global Market Research Industry. Before founding eCGlobal Solutions, Adriana was EVP for eCMetrics, one of the first Interactive Marketing Research Agencies in Latin America, and Director Latin America for GMI (Global Market Insite) where she developed strategic accounts with Top 25 Global MR Companies.

Brian F. Singh is a pollster and economist with 20 years of experience. He is also the President of ZINC Research, which he founded in 2006 on the principle of the “triple bottom-line,” and the belief that in today’s world, companies need to have a firm grasp on the social, environmental and economic aspects of their operation and vision for the future. He is also the founder of “The Bridge – Canadians and Social Media” a nationally syndicated study conducted by ZINC Research Inc. in partnership with Dufferin Research. This ongoing study, started in September 2007, tracks online Canadians interest, activity and membership to social networking sites. Brian is also a recognized innovator in the integration of onsite and online research methodologies. Brian is a Certified Marketing Professional (CMRP), holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics (University of Toronto), and was a PhD candidate in Epidemiology (University of Toronto).
Jonathan Ewert is president of TransforMedia and is currently pursuing acquisition and investment opportunities in partnership with Catalyst Investors, a lower middle market growth equity firm headquartered in New York. Prior to Transformedia, Mr. Ewert served as President and CEO of Codero, a dedicated and cloud hosting company based in Kansas City. At Codero, Mr. Ewert led the company through a restructuring following the divestiture of two business units, recruited his successor, and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Mr. Ewert currently serves on the Board of APH Management and AudienceFUEL, as well as the Advisory Boards of Simply Engage and Cancer101. He is a past board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, Advantage Business Media, and Wowd Inc., which was sold to FaceBook in 2010. Mr. Ewert earned his B.A. in Political Science in 1986 from the College of the Holy Cross.
Rolfe Swinton is Co-CEO of RealityMine, a start-up focused on leveraging emerging advances in data technology to deliver real time engagement platforms to brands. Prior to founding RealityMine, he was Co-Founder and Director of Lumi Mobile, a mobile technology company based in New York City, London and Finland to serve the consumer insight industry. Prior to founding Lumi, Rolfe was the Director of Development at CPI and COO at CPI Publishing Solutions – a pioneering service in eBook creation and delivery. Rolfe founded two other technology startups and led projects across a range of corporate, government, and nonprofit clients in North America, Central America and South Africa. Rolfe as a BA from Yale University, an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA from INSEAD.
Hany Mwafy is the Chief Energy Officer for iQual and managing partner of +genius, the growth accelerator consultancy firm with Peter Fisk – global marketing guru. Prior to that Hany was the transforming managing Director of Nielsen Egypt &North Africa, an ExCo member of Asia Pacific, India, Middle East &Africa and a member in the global communication team. Hany holds an MBA with concentration in International Marketing, a business and law degrees. He lectured for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Cambridge, spoke twice in TEDx and with Philip Kotler on what’s next in marketing.
